Unequal effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on scientists

Each scientist has experienced different circumstances during this pandemic (the end of which is not clear at all).

Meanwhile, scientists study how scientists are affected by COVID-19:

COVID-19 has not affected all scientists equally. A survey of principal investigators indicates that female scientists, those in the ‘bench sciences’ and, especially, scientists with young children experienced a substantial decline in time devoted to research.
